This Kingswood pattern was manufactured for 21 years by the Royal Doulton China company, based in England. It comes as a surprise to many people that the Kingswood pattern is manufactured by Royal Doulton as the design on the Kingswood pattern is not a typical Royal Doulton, genreally Royal Doulton designs have a lot more gold & deep colors to it as opposed to the Kingswood pattern design which is a simple white background with some small floral arrangements. Although the Kingswood design is not typical of Royal Doulton is is extremly popular even today due in most part to its beautiful looking design with its vibrant colored flowers. A pattern that is a bit more typical Royal Doulton is the Carlyle pattern which has a much busier looking design. The Royal Doulton Kingswood pattern does not stand alone when it comes to simpler looking Royal Doulton patterns as there are other patterns like it, for example the Royal Doulton Sarabande pattern also has a simpler looking design & is also extremly popular.
