This pattern stands out because of its gold accents: gold floral design bounded by both thin and thick gold bands. Working in contrast to the ivory china and cobalt blue rim, this design is meant for formal dinners that demand royal opulence. This collection has been in existence since 1972 and was in production for almost 2 decades. Because of its gold edging, this fine tableware is not safe for use in the microwave oven.
This setting was manufactured by Lenox Corporation, which has been in the business since 1889 and is known for its expert artistry in fine tabletop and giftware (china, crystal, and metal gifts). Their settings are used in no less than the White House while some of their works are also on display in the Smithsonian Institution as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
We like the Lenox Barclay Sugar Bowl with Lid – it’s a novelty!
