This pattern is actually the first one created by artist Lynn Chase and was inspired by a painting she had done in 1986. This striking pattern depicts the South American wildlife, which Lynn is known for.
An interesting anecdote about this pattern is that Lynn was warned by a marketing firm that black dinnerware would never sell but she produced it anyway. As it turned out, Jaguar Jungle would win 2 awards (Best Pattern and Impact Award) at the International Tabletop Association convention in Dallas in 1991. And today, 28 years after its initial creation, it still has several passionate collectors.
Because of its gold rings, this collection is not safe for use in the microwave oven.
Our favorite is the set of octagonal vegetable bowls - it has an oriental vibe to it!
Truly a bold design for strong people who defy convention. If you’re into safari-themed parties, this collection will definitely work!
