What you need to know about the Minton St. James pattern:
This St. James pattern was manufactured for 27 years (1971 - 1998) by the Minton China company, based in the UK. It is a tribute to its designers’ creativity with its cobalt blue and gold-toned oval border along the edges with gilded rim and accents.
This pattern has a number of products that were produced. Some to look for:
- Dinner Plate (10 5/8”), Salad Plate (8”), Bread & Butter Plate (6 1/2”), Footed Cup & Saucer (3”)
- Luncheon Plate (9”)
- The Rim Soup Bowl comes in 2 sizes: 9” and 8 1/8”
- The Sugar Bowl comes in 2 styles: Sugar Bowl & Lid (3”) and Open Sugar Bowl (2 1/2”)
- Creamer (4” in, 10 OZ)
- There are 2 sizes in Oval Serving Platter 13”, and 16”
- There are 2 styles of Gravy boat: with underplate (Relish dish) and attached underplate
- 10” Oval Vegetable Bowl and Round Covered Vegetable Bowl
- Handled Cake Plate
- Soup Tureen and Lid
