This Giralda pattern has been in production for an unknown amount of years by the William Yeoward China & Crystal company, based in England. This very exclusive & beautiful pattern is named after a historic location in Spain. The bell tower of the Seville cathedral is a former minaret called Giralda & was converted in to a bell tower in 1248 after Seville was taken back by the Christians. The Giralda pattern is from one of the more exclusive & high end (of course cheaper at Classic Replacements) patterns of china & its elegance makes the price well worth it. While this pattern has a more flowing design William Yeoward makes other patterns with a more solid & set design. While there are many fine & upscale china brands by English china manufacturers the Giralda pattern takes the meaning of the word fine china to a whole new level. William Yeoward also makes some very beautiful & interesting crystal patterns.
Our favorite William Yeoward Giralda pieces are the cup & saucer as well as the oval platter.
