This Hanover Gold pattern was manufactured for 14 years by the Waterford Crystal & China company, based in England, formerly Ireland. The Waterford Hanover gold pattern is a pattern of exquisite beauty with a gorgeous design that goes very well with many china patterns The Hanover Gold pattern features a regular size cut stem with a smooth base (many Waterford pattern have a cut/etched design on the base) & a cut paneled design on the goblet portion. With a gold rim to top it all off. the Hanover Gold pattern is one piece of crystal that you do not want to put in the dishwasher because of the gold trim which may get worn off if you do. The Waterford Hanover Gold pattern looks quite different from other Waterford crystal patterns, one reason is because the the Hanover Gold pattern is part of Waterfords Marquis collection which tends to look a bit different from the regular Waterford pieces & patterns. The difference can be seen when comparing a regular Waterford pattern like Waterford Wynnewood or Waterford Colleen to the Hanover Gold pattern. The fact that the Hanover Gold pattern is part of the Marquis collection does not diminish in any way from the Hanover Golds status as is is still manufactured by the Waterford crystal company & is just as elegant as other Waterford patterns.
Our favorite Waterford Hanover Gold piece is the water goblet.
