Kosta Boda
Kosta was founded in Sweden in 1742. The brand name is a contraction of the surnames of the founders: Generals Koskull and Staël von Holstein. Today’s Kosta Boda was formed through a merger of the glassworks in the communities of Kosta, Boda and Åfors.
Apart from their bold designs, the company is also known for its environmental consciousness. Their production chain has been ISO-certified since 1997 for environmental management. The company does not use arsenic or lead - substances which are deemed harmful. They also use less energy to run their facilities.
