This pattern was manufactured for about 25 years by the Galway crystal company, based in Ireland. The Old Galway pieces have a panel cut bowl coupled with a star cut foot. Likely named after the city in Ireland, these pieces truly bring out that older and history-filled look. This is not to say that the pieces are out of date, but rather that they draw from the past to create an appearance that is very strong yet magical, like something you would expect from a high fantasy novel.
