This Somerset pattern was manufactured for 2 years by the Royal Worcester China company, based in the UK. Sometimes companies are quick to jump the gun. If a pattern doesn't achieve instant popularity then it can quickly head to the chopping block. This appears to be the case with this Somerset pattern. Although it did not enjoy an active run for long, it's popularity has grown in the years since. We think that it adds a little extra something to the standard gold trimmed patterns such as Lenox Eternal And Lenox Maywood. The decor on the edge adds that extra touch without changing the subtle nature of the overall design.
