This Pompadour Red Gold pattern was manufactured for 8 years by the Royal Worcester China company, based in England. The Pompadour Red Gold pattern looks & feels like it is made for royalty and gives the impression it would be out of place at any table outside of Buckingham palace with its deep & majestic red border & bright gold design. Although the Royal Worcester company only manufactured the Pompadour Red Gold pattern for eight years it is a tremendously poplular pattern in a narrow range of  shoppers most probaly due to its high price which can make it a bit to expensive for the average person shopping for china. The Pompadour Red Gold bears a small resemblence to some other patterns by Royal Worcester sucha s the Royal Worcester Gold Chantilly pattern which has a similar bright gold design but that is where the resemblance ends.
