This Tonkin pattern was manufactured for 17 years by the Royal Doulton China company, based in the UK. The currently discontinued Tonkin china pattern has a smooth look to it that is quite hard to find & gives off that perfect summery feel that cant be replicated. This pattern is one of the Royal Doulton companies more flowery looking patterns & is quite distinctive. The Tonkin pattern mixes & matches quite well with another pattern by the same manufacturer, the Royal Doulton Kingswood pattern which has as similar flowery design but its coloring leans more to the colder seasons.
