This Lichfield pattern was manufactured for 9 years by the Royal Doulton China company, based in the UK. This pattern has different degrees of its design on different pieces. For example, the dinner plate is blank in the center and on the rim while the salad plate has a heavily designed rim and the bread and butter has a strong center design. This is made so that when stacked upon another, the design is complete and beautiful. Not a common design style, but it has been done before.
