The inspiration for this pattern is a city in Quebec, Canada named Val D’or – which is French for “Valley of Gold” as gold was discovered in this town in 1923. And this is why the design has ridges with gold accent.
True to its name, this pattern was produced for almost 50 years by Royal Albert of England, which makes it a classic. This collection is ideal for use during formal occasions like weddings and anniversary celebrations.
We love the breakfast cup and saucer set as well as the creamer and lidded sugar bowl with tray set – a perfect way to start any day! We also like the lidded jam / jelly / marmalade – a classy way to serve toast. This is definitely gilt edged luxury for your tabletop.
