This Sterling Cove pattern was manufactured for 13 years by the Noritake China company, based in Japan. Noritake was ahead of it's time when it created the Sterling Cove china pattern in 1986. While today simple white china patterns with soft platinum trimmings are all the rage, at the time of it's creation Sterling Cove was a bit of an anomaly since heavier design were more favored at the time. The reason many brides and homemakers today desire less rather then more, is because they would like the food to the talking, rather then the china. Mostly white dishes also open up options of mixing and matching with accent plates and other patterns as well allowing for informal use of the set when it is so desired.
Our favorite Noriatke Sterling Cove pieces are the tall tea cup and saucer as well as the relish dish. Sterling cove platters and soup bowls are also iun great demand.
