All About Minton Jasmine

Brand:  Minton     Pattern:  Jasmine

Manufacturer Status:  Discontinued     In Production:  1978 - 1997

Description:  Peach, red & white flowers set against cream porcelain with green and gold rim.

Theme:  Floral     Dishwashing Method:  Hand wash     Secondary Market Value:  Good     Best Uses:  Spring / Summer

Its feminine, floral design connotes fragrance, making it ideal for use during the seasons of spring or summer.  It can also be used in special but not necessarily formal occasions like weddings, birthdays, even baptisms.  You can even use it for simple gatherings with family and friends.

This pattern was produced by Minton’s Ltd. for almost 2 decades.  Because of its gilt-edging, this collection is not safe for use in the microwave oven.

Minton’s Ltd. was founded in 1793 by Thomas Minton.  With England as its headquarters, its key products are earthenware and bone china.  The company merged with Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd. in 1968.  Royal Doulton was then taken over by the Waterford Wedgwood group of Ireland in January 2005.  As of July 2, 2015, the entire group has been acquired by the Finnish company Fiskars Corporation.

We like the oval covered vegetable bowl – perfect for casseroles!
