This Ancestral pattern was manufactured for 40 years by the Minton China company, based in the UK. It's not easy to become the signature pattern of any brand, let alone one as prestigious and with the storied history of Minton. Ancestral did it with ease. Look over a table set with this patterns place setting and serving pieces and you won't fail to be moved by the gleaming grandeur of it all. The swirling design with raised enamel dots and light floral border only serve to highlight the turquoise and tan, brown and blue floral delight. Add the gleaming gold trim and you have a pattern for the ages. Ancestral was made with two different backstamps, first with the Minton globe backstamp and afterward with the wreath stamp.
