This Moonspun pattern was manufactured for 27 years by the Lenox China company, based in the USA. Lenox Moonspun is in our opinion here at Classic Replacements among the nicest patterns ever manufactured by the Lenox china company. The moonspun pattern has a soft cream background with a platinum rim & white flowers outlined on it giving a subtle & understated yet extremly elegant & calming look to it. While Lenox Moonspun was in prouduction for twenty seven years it proved to be immensely popular & sold in large numbers, although the pattern is discontinued it continues to sell at replacement dinnerware stores quite well. Lenox is one of the manufactures that make the presidental china & although the Moonspun pattern is not one that was designed for a president there are other beautifal patterns made by Lenox that where, such as the Lenox McKinley pattern & Lenox Buchanan pattern which both do not resemble the Moonspun pattern but are quite elegant & beautiful. For a buyer looking for a design similar to the Moosnpun pattern but even more subtle there is a pattern called Lenox Maywood which is almost identical to Lenox Moonspun with the same platinum rim & cream colored background but without the flowers.
Our favorite Lenox Moonspun pieces are the oval vegetable bowl as well as the dinner plate.
