This pattern takes inspiration from the 18^th century Chippendale style and has been in production for 28 years and counting.  It features a gold herringbone design and scroll and leaf motif with ruby dots.  The ruby red enamel dots which have been applied by hand with a skill known as “jeweling” give a touch of fire to the design.

This pattern was manufactured by Lenox Corporation of USA, which has been in the business since 1889 and is known for its expert artistry in fine tabletop and giftware (china, crystal, and metal gifts).  Their settings are used in no less than the White House while some of their works are also on display in the Smithsonian Institution as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. 

We love the teacup for its gilded base.  Truly elegant.
