This Hamilton pattern was manufactured for 18 years by the Lenox China company, based in US. Blue, besides for being the color of royalty (okay, purple techincally is, but blue does have the word royal in it, such as "Royal Blue", so we consider it royalty as well:), is very much the choice of buyers looking for a specific color. Hamilton offers a very nice balance of color, elegance and understated charm. Similar patterns include Lenox Monroe which is the same as Hamilton just with a maroon band not a blue one. This pattern is made for people who don't want decals or center designs on their china, just a nice border pattern.
