This Rothschild Bird pattern has been manufactured since 1850 by the Herend China company, based in the Hungary. Based on the now famous story of the Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in her garden only to discover the local birds playing with it. There are twelve different motifs of the pattern featuring different birds in different colors and positions.
