Spode's Rose Briar pattern was produced between 1932-1971. It has a white background with a "basket weave" outer border and inner border of red, purple, and yellow roses. Spode was founded by Josiah Spode (1733–1797) in 1770 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Josiah Spode is thought to have developed a formula for fine bone china, and Spode English bone china is renowned.
