This Ashling pattern has been manufactured for 43 years by the Waterford crystal company, based in Ireland till recently. Waterford is one of the gold standard names for crystal & has graced many thousands of tables over the last 132 years & produces everything from water goblets to crystal chandeliers such as the one that was installed in the Westminster Abbey in 1966. Waterford Ashling has a simple cut design of round pinches on the bottom of the goblet & a cut pattern of leaves & fruit in the upper section of the goblet, in addition it has the trademark Waterford starburst design on its base found in almost all Waterford patterns such as Waterford Powerscourt & Waterford Kidare to name just a few of the more popular Waterford crystal patterns. In addition to crystal Waterford also manufactures china such as the Waterford Barons Court pattern among many others.
