Baccarat was established in 1764 by then King Louis XV. An award-winning crystal manufacturer, it was first awarded in 1823 at the National Exhibition of Industrial Products. It was there that King Louise XVIII commissioned Baccarat to create a service to grace the ceremonial tables at the Tuileries Palace. Since then, Baccarat has been servicing royalties from all over the world
With its more than 250 years in craftsmanship, Baccarat is known for its elegant designs not only in tableware, but also in jewelry, home decors, lighting, and even perfume (Dior, Guerlain) and liquor (John Walker & Sons, Remy Martin) bottles.
